About Me

I have been a professional artist since graduating from Stourbridge College of Art with a 2;1 Degree in Fine Art.

I started my career in at the Thorndike Theatre in Leatherhead, Surrey as an assistant Scenic Artist. I stayed with the theatre for two years before deciding that I would like to work in the field of television.

I joined the BBC at Television Centre in White City in the early 90's on a series of short term contracts. And I went freelance full time after three years. I have continued to be a freelance Scenic Artist ever since. Having made most of my contacts in the BBC, I have contiued to work in television to the present day, though since having my children in the mid 2000s, I chose to take on less work, to spend more time with them.

In the last couple of years I have been teaching, both to adults and children, on a one to one basis and in groups, which I love.

I also work, on short-term contracts, at the University of Surrey in the Guildford School of Acting.

As well as working with people, I also contiue to produce my own work and undertake private commissions for paintings and portraits.
